A few years ago I struggled hard with my anxiety. While I’m able to manage it better now, back then it felt like something I could never escape from. I’ve found peace & grace through so many amazing books on my walk and I’m sharing them with you all today (because maybe it could help even just one of you). This is not something you have to wrestle with alone or in the dark (in fact those only make it worse). Before I could openly talk about it (which I understand how difficult it can be) I felt like I had to process it myself and these books are ones you can find peace, healing and understanding. Present over Perfect by Shauna Niequist and combo of counseling 2x week. Have been processing infertility/adoption/grief for the last few years and I feel like this book this past year along with counseling helped prepare me for this next season of life. 4 weeks ago we got a call that a baby had been born and was in the NICU and needed a family, we prayed and said yes. Counseling and reading helped get me in the right mindset and focused on the present.

Im sure people think your life Is perfect because you are so put together but looks can be so deceiving. It’s good to know that even with all your abundance you have had your struggles and probably still do at times. I too have anxiety and now it’s managed but I have my moments. It’s great to see people sharing their struggles and accomplishments. Good on you. I would love to share this on my own account. I hope that is ok. Bless.

@rupikaur_’s Milk and Honey. I bought it at a @chaptersindigo, years ago, not even knowing that it was a book of poems, but what a happy accident that was! Her book brought me a lot of peace, and gave me closure on some things that I had been struggling with in my life.
