Ta daaa! This is a good one: my second @British Vogue cover (and we didn’t do the hat!!) - with huge thanks to #KatePhelan and #NickKnight who commissioned one of our neon pieces for this beautiful shoot. I’ve been working on a new project this year; exploring the idea of voids / not-hats and un-hats, so this is a perfect outcome to me - I’ve come full #oval. @kphelan123 and @ニック・ナイト shot, for #Vogue, my first neon hat made in collaboration with @darrenwestneonartist back in 2008 - it was the first uk press I’d ever had and it blew my mind! What road had I suddenly found myself on? (I cried from shock reading #VogueMagazine in the car-park outside Matalan in #Dalston - long before they knocked down all the studios around it to build duplexes). Since then we’ve done the lot: #charlesandcamilla #netaporter #annawintour #cateblanchett #doverstreetmarket #rihanna #mileycyrus #dianevonfurstenberg #rickowens #ascot (omg - that’s coming up soon ?) #younameit - so, getting back to my point, NOT having a hat on the cover of #Vogue is an amazing accomplishment!
