If you see me tomorrow, don’t be surprised if I am wearing the same outfit. I wear pretty much the same thing every day, unless I have a reason to deviate. I remember when I was in my 20s, there was an older woman in my office who wore black leggings, a baggie black top and black shoe boots every single day. They were different clothes I think, but basically a small variation on the same outfit. I am ashamed to admit that back then, we made fun of her singular look behind her back. Now I get it. When you get older, you know what works and what you feel comfortable in. It’s kind of freeing.

jackiehamel I’m in my 20s but have 3 kids. My outfits are pretty much the same every day- black/gray leggings, black/gray/blue top, and some form of brown boots or maybe Toms if it’s not freezing cold out. I’d love to change it up, but I’m comfortable and the leggings and flowy-ish tops pair really nicely with drool, toddler booger’s, and baby spit up 💁🏻‍♀️

jenny.anne.fisher In my car yesterday I was just thinking about how when I was in my early 20s I would kind of scoff at older women’s style or lack of understanding of technology and kind of dread the fact that I would be older one day and wish I was 20. Now I realize that I 100% do not care if a 20 year old rolls her eyes at me. I prefer life on this side 🙂

kristennoel1225 I have that same coworker - black khakis, white mock turtleneck under a black v-neck sweatshirt. I noticed it within days of starting there (years ago) and promised myself I wouldn’t end up that way. Now I alternate between black khakis or black leggings and different colors of the same 3-4 shirts. #ifinallygetit

getupangelita When i was studying architecture, i had a professor who always dressed basically the same, and in one lecture he told us that he did it becouse that way he freed his mind from thinking and over thinking each day what he would wear, and stop spending so much time on this and spend it better in his proyects

kearatmcgraw My insanely successful boss/mentor wears the same thing every day, crisp white button down, and dressy jeans or blue slacks depending on his day. 🙌🏻 Men do it all the time and I think as a woman we overthink the shit out of it.

ashleymace13 I found I shirt I liked so I bought 3 am in black that I wear to work (we have to wear all black) so it looks like I’m wearing the same shirt everyday, lol
