There’s one quote that defines a lot of what we do here at Hurley – especially our belief in the future. It comes from 1978 World Champion, @rabbitbartholomew.

Rabbit had come to Huntington Beach in the 70s and was surfing the South side of HB Pier. Instead of paddling straight to the pack, he was hanging on the inside and sharing waves with the local young kids.

@BobHurley, a young shaper at the time, paddled over to Rabbit from the outside and said, “Rabbit, you’re cool man. Come catch a few outside with us.”

Rab looked at him and politely declined the offer saying, “Thanks mate, but I get all my inspiration and energy here in the shorebreak, from the next generation.”
