Tuesdays are my Mummy days. I shut my laptop, try to ignore all emails (eep) and fully immerse myself in home and family.

I tackle housework, enjoy chatting to mums at the school gates, cook a proper meal from scratch- ok I’ve gone too far but you get the jist! All the other weekdays we have childcare support but this is my day and I love it.

Today the patio doors are open, the house is being aired and I thought I’d be one of those winning parents who does themed play activities! We’ve had a flick through this lovely @usborne_books about nature that I picked up in @Costco and now she’s playing with the shells and flowers in a sensory tray (aka an old quality street tin ha).

The sunshine really helps me. I find it VERY easy to sink quite low but the sunshine stops that a bit which is so nice.

jo_crafty_fog I can feel The Emptiness setting in again so I am trying to keep myself occupied. This lovely weather has perked me up a bit and i would love to throw open the back door and let the fresh air (and probably flies as well lol) in but my cats are indoor cats and one of them needs to stay inside for his health so I can’t risk him making a break for it but I do have the windows cracked open (again not fully due to cat escapees 😂) so I am getting some air in.

mrslewismemories We spent all morning at the park, seeing the ducks and on a nature trail - this weather is amazing with children! My son is such an outdoor lover, unfortunately our fence is being rebuilt so we’ve not been in the garden today but can’t wait for the rest of the year to be spent with the patio doors open 😊 ☀️ xx

jessicalyarr Lovely! You could try putting story bags together. Find objects that go along with the story and collect them together into a bag(I use drawstring cheap PE type) and get them out every so often. Read the story and let the children retell and reimagine the story using the objects x

inevitablefrodo My mental health is definitely worsened by SAD, so I’m making the most of this sunshine incase we get another wintry spell! Moved my desk in front of my windows so I get lots of sunshine while I’m working on my dissertation, and go for little walks on my breaks ☺️

carlyannwestmacott What I'm most excited about, having washing on the line! I've done about 3 loads just because & I love looking out my window and seeing all the lovely white sheets hanging there. Also I find I go on more long walks, taking my time rather then rushing along x

emilyleggat This afternoon I spent 20mins trying to untangle my 4yr olds slinky....it was then that I realised that the slinky was a little bit like my brain. You look at it, panic a little and all it takes is some care and time and slowly it starts to unravel. Xxx
