To date, our campaign partners Sumatran Orangutan Society and Orangutan Information Centre have planted 1.5 million tree seedlings that are endemic to Indonesia, replenishing destroyed orangutan habitats caused by palm oil plantations.

"It takes a long time to grow a rain forest, but it’s incredible how quickly the restoration sites can, once again, become valuable habitat for orangutans and so many other species. Within 3-4 years, nature takes over, and wildlife starts to return long before that," says Helen Buckland with SOS.
