We may have had over 500” of snow @squawalpine this year, but spring is approaching w tha quickness and I’ve been doubling down ⛷??‍♀️ - ski in the am and gym sesh in the pm ???. Gosh it’s been fun, and exhausting. For me this winter has provided countless moments of pure joy - the sensation of flying down hill, the thrill of moving so efficiently and swiftly in the mountains, the contagious giggling with friends at how lucky we are ? Climbing however is my much more “high maintenance” passion ?. Hours spent inside on plastic, tending to the skin, worrying about humidity, remembering sequences, rehearsing moves, rest days, etc. Many weeks and months of training & preparation often lead to failure and returning home empty-handed. BUT - those times are punctuated by intense and poignant successes that are so few and far between they become etched in our memories eternally. I suppose that’s why I have found both passions to be equally and obsessively necessary in my life. So now - after a few months of coasting through one of the best winters I’ve experienced, it’s time to start making the shift back to plastic pulling, ? boarding, hanging, and worrying about the effect wearing gloves might have on my tips ???‍♀️. Damn I really ❤️ it all, even when I tell myself that I don’t ??‍♀️ // ? @honngy throwback to one of those rare poignant moments - May 4, 2018 and my surprise send of ‘Mind Control’ (8c/5.14b) in Oliana, Spain (one of the best sport climbs in the world!?!) ❤️❤️❤️ // @lasportivana // @thenorthface_climb // @thenorthface //
