Excited to start @themarklandstudio ‘s character workshop and dig into Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem. The character of Johnny ‘Rooster’ Byron was originally brought to life by the genius of Mark Rylance who was crowned the King of Broadway for his exceptionally raw portrayal of the tattooed West Country gypsy. Hopefully, I can chip off a fraction of his flair. Playwright Gil Kaufman stole this pic during rehearsal at my place.
