I’ve never danced the tango or salsa. Have you? I’d love to try! Would you? I’m not actually that coordinated when it comes to dancing. If Tim and I ever dance, even just to a song I get all self-conscious because he used to be a dancer. I assume that I am some uncoordinated wreck and will most likely step on his toes or do something out of rhythm and unsexy. In fact, I’m not someone who gets anything physical on the first or even the first hundred tries. It often takes me lots of practice. So many people assume that I used to be a dancer or a gymnast, but I didn’t have any physical training or experience prior to yoga. This was it. My whole physicality is the result of 20 years of dedicated Ashtanga Yoga. While I’m not a dancer, I must say that something I love to see is when someone moves their body with a sense of grace and freedom. It literally lifts me up, whether it’s dance, handstands, gymnastics, or any movement. As for me, I am most likely sticking to yoga, but I loved to see tango in the streets of Argentina.
