We wanted to create a bob that looked like it was floating on her head. I️ created a graduation underneath. The rest of the haircut was a line aka “one-length”

The graduation underneath pushed her bob away from her head shape. I created it by starting with a horizontal section on the bottom. I elevated each new section to around 45 degrees towards the previous section and used the previous section as a guide for cutting. Since each new section traveled more than the previous, each new section became longer than the previous. Since “short hair pushes long hair”, it created volume which pushed the bob away from her head shape.

To create the bob on top, I cut all the hair to the same point to make it blunt as possible, since I didn’t have enough hair left to work with. .
