Mom would be 77 today.
She was a real actors mom in the sense that some years I was able to really lavish her with a DVD player or Hamilton tickets and some years it was more “here, mom, I wrote you a story/ baked you some terrible cookies.” She was the exact same amount of gracious, no matter the gift. She was unfailingly polite, and the world could use a little more of that. Happy Birthday, Mom.
