His portrait has been painted by close friends such as Andy Warhol, Lucian Freud, and David Hockney, yet it is Richardson’s monumental, multi-volume “portrait” of his friend Pablo Picasso that has redefined the art of biography. He is currently at work finishing the fourth installment of "A Life of Picasso."
