Laying in my Colorado hotel bed missing this girl so much. I took these photos before leaving her this morning for a quick 24 hour biz trip. Wanna know what the hardest part about being a mom is? It’s not the sleepless nights, intense feeding schedule or poopy diapers.. The hardest part has actually been the times when I’ve had to say goodbye. Whether it’s leaving to go work for the day or traveling for a number of days without her - every time I have to turn my back on my little angel it’s the hardest and it sucks. As a mama bear it is in our nature to want to nurture our babies and guide them every step of the way. It is a mama’s love that is the best love, right? I’m learning a valuable lesson tho in this department of my life and learning a new kind of trust. Trusting that God has her. Trusting that when I have to step out that it’s an opportunity for teeny to experience God stepping in and for her to encounter His love one-on-one. It’s been a powerful revelation for me to see how God is with my child all day everyday even on the days when I turn my back, the days when I’m on a plane, and the future days to come when I’m worried sick waiting up for her to come home. It comforts me knowing that He will be with her all the days of her life including the days and moments when I’m not there. It feels like yesterday when I held all 5lbs of this little ball of joy in one hand and now I can barely get her to sit still! Ha! I am so grateful for this life God gave me and in these moments when I just want to cuddle her, I gotta remember that whether I’m near or far God is always going to lead the way and keep us safe in His arms.
