It’s #WeGetUp day. What defines us is how well we rise after falling. This fall was at the 98’ Nationals. After the short program sitting in 4th place I knew I lost my title and I wasn’t sure I would even make the Olympic Team. At the time it seemed like the worst possible thing that could have happened to me but looking back I’m so grateful it did. I got up and got on the Olympic team and over the next month, I found an inner strength I didn’t know I had. Life has so many ”get up” moments. Every time one happens to me I try to think of what I learned in my skating career and I then smile just a little...knowing one day I will be grateful for this moment. #figureskating #life
