Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPcolorwheel
This weekend the challenge is to make colorful photos and videos that brighten up your mood, like photographer Mária Švarbová (@maria.svarbova) did with this synchronized swimming shot. Here are some tips to get started:
Mix and match. Create unexpected patterns or bursts of color. Think of creative ways to incorporate primary colors, complementary colors, color blocking and artificial colors into your creations.
Convey a mood. Colors can go together in harmony, or clash very, very loudly. Use a color palette that conveys a mood or emotion, whether it’s calming pastels, cool-and-collected hues or exciting rainbows that give you all the feels.
Focus on one color. Fire-engine red. Supervillain black. Millennial pink. Some colors just grab us. Focus your image around a single color by bathing the set in light, flooding the image with a filter or putting on a monochromatic outfit.
