The town of Darra Adam Khel, located in the tribal area of northwest Pakistan in the province of Khyber Pakhtunktwa, has been famous for more than a century. It is known for its weapons makers, merchants and gunsmiths, and has thrived by selling everything from handmade replicates of automatic rifles, hand-grenades, guns, and virtually every other kind of weapon. It is estimated that about 75% of the population are involved in the arms trade.
