Pope Francis, the leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholic tweeted that the Virgin Mary was the first “influencer,” and people across the internet cringed collectively. It appears that during the World Youth Day Catholic summit in Panama over the weekend, the Pope experienced a moment of divine inspiration; Being an “influencer” in the 21st century means being “guardians of everything that can make us feel part of one another.”
