In the months since Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico, our fellow Americans have overcome not just wind and water but also the Trump administration's shamefully inadequate response to the disaster. Visiting farms and small businesses in Puerto Rico this week to see progress on @ClintonGlobal Initiative commitments, we saw how nonprofits and grantmakers have come together to expand farming operations, plant trees, and re-open small businesses. @chefjoseandres and his wonderful @wckitchen team are helping farmers like Franco and Natalia Medina upgrade to innovative farming techniques and renewable energy as part of a CGI "Plow to Plate" commitment. It's just one story among thousands of resilient people working hard to pick up the pieces. The federal government should still do more. Rolls of paper towels aren't enough.
