☀️Last week I went on an adventure exploring traditional Japanese crafts in Chiba prefecture~!☀️⁣⁣
⁣⁣ It was so much fun to learn so many new things, see traditional crafts up close, try new foods & drinks, all while feeling very omotenashi~!?☀️⁣⁣
⁣⁣ We travelled from Tokyo to different parts of Chiba on a fancy bus which was super comfy (thank you Hatobus!!) & were kindly guided by a lovely tour guide~!?(thank you so much Ms Aki!!) She guided us in English & Japanese so I learned a lot about all the places we visited & got to practice Japanese too!!?⁣⁣⁣⁣

We started with a champagne reception at @sghr_sugahara & then got to see how the glassware is made~! We received a super pretty glass as a gift, which is the glass that we also got to watch being made!? It contains two layers of gold leaf which sparkles~!✨⁣⁣⁣⁣

Then we went to the inn Hakkakutei for an amazing kaiseki ryouri served on glassware from sghr✨ Every course was so delicious & colourful!?✨ Trying new foods was so so exciting!! I particularly loved the dessert?? I loved seeing the floral arrangements on display there too?⁣⁣⁣⁣

At the Iinumahonke sake brewery we learned about & saw how sake is made, and I was able to participate in the ceremonial opening of the sake barrel!?? Afterwards I tried a lovely yuzu sake! I had never tried sake before then!!?? We were also kindly gifted an Iinumahonke sake cup at the end of our visit!?⁣⁣⁣⁣

Our last destination was the temple in Narita, it was so beautiful & also quite peaceful to walk around, though it’s one of the busiest temples at New Years!☀️ It was a lovely way to wrap up the tour before heading back to Tokyo?⁣⁣⁣⁣

Although we visited so many places, learned so much & enjoyed many different things, it felt like a really relaxing but also exciting day!? I’m so grateful for the adventure & the kind omotenashi~!? ⁣⁣
