Sunday Farmers’ Market ?
Buying fresh produce from local farmers markets has changed the way I shop. I still go to supermarkets and health food stores for convenience and to pick up other food staples, but for groceries it’s great to support the local farmers, and more often than not the quality is as good as it gets at a fraction of the price. The farmers markets are usually every Sunday, so look them up in your local area and pop over in the morning to pick up your fresh fruit and veg for the week. More than anything it’s a great way to spend a Sunday morning out in the fresh air and feeling part of the neighbourhood. Take a tote bag (or a basket!), feel good about there being no packaging and enjoy picking veg in its natural state protected by their skins, after all, bananas are already wearing their coats. ?
