I feel so happy today and so excited about our menswear show cause I tried to show you more than just fashion, delivering a lot of messages that are really important to me. I know fashion is a business as any other but when you look deeper , with clothes we have a platform and the opportunity to build a universe that means so much more and sometimes even influence peoples’ lifes...
Some will appreciate it , others will just try to put me down by judging me. But at the end of the day I would rather be loved for who I am than be loved for who people want me to be and try to follow what they expect to see. I want to thank all my Balmain team that has been so loyal. I also wish to thank my models who have from the first day inspired me and showed their support and thank as well the ones who have not stayed along, reminding me that creating a friendship in fashion is not obvious and easy.
This is a new chapter that I m starting to write.
And I can't wait to share with you in a few days the new Balmain couture ?
