The kids are the Future ❤️. Me.. a young girl who at the age of 12 was brought into the school office by a guidance counsellor and told to research “Vitiligo”. I’m so grateful to that educator today. Because of her i am also an educator. I remember googling then and finding close to nothing on this simple skin disorder. Today the resources we have can bring us so much closer together with a simple but important thing: KNOWLEDGE! Can you imagine someone could look at me and see my skin first? That’s like looking at a man and first seeing BLACK. Everything about you is to be proud of, but no One thing defines you. I’m grateful to the kids of this generation for being so different from any generation before. You are smart, empowered, curious, fearless, and most importantly, you have the world at your finger tips! I’m honoured to be someone these progressive youth look up to ❤️ (swipe ??)
