I was 22years young and just starting my career in Japan. These photos show the more glamorous side of things (especially because of all the hair extensions and glue on eyelashes🤣). Shooting for top Japanese fashion magazines and walking the runway for the biggest fashion shows in Tokyo. But my early twenties were far from glamorous. Not having enough money to pay for rent, being turned down at countless auditions, dealing with mean girls, trying to change who I am to be liked, obsessing about my weight and looks, the list goes on. I would never want to go back to those days but at 32 I’m proud to say I’m still here! If you have a dream, go for it. You never know where life can take you and you will never know the person you are meant to become unless you try.
10年前は日本へ来てまだ間もない時でした。この写真だけを見ると、ファッション誌の撮影やファッションショーへの出演など一見華やかでキラキラして見えるかもしれませんが、20代前半は自分の人生で辛い時期でした。あの頃、オーディションに数え切れないほど落ち、家賃を払えない時期もあった。自分の個性や性格を殺して、体重と見た目ばかりを気にしていた。周りと自分を比べて、悔し涙ばかりながしていたのを覚えてる。絶対に戻りたいとは思わないけど、あの辛さを経験できて良かったなと思う。あなたに夢があるなら、諦めないで欲しい。小さな夢、大きな夢、どんな夢でも、夢への道を歩む事によって本来なるべき自分になれるんだと思う。
