Legacy is how we define history, when you look back we know the stories, we know the tales, but we will never know the truth and that’s the point, legacy is to keep us from seeing the dirty side, Marylin Monroe was one of if not the most photographed people in the world, an icon, a legacy, girls want to be her men want to be with her, still to this day people fantasize about her existence, but you could dare say few knew who she really was and that was probably better for her. People today have started giving so much of their persona maybe they have nothing real to give, fake happiness for social media if you do it enough can become real? When you turn off the machine what is real to you? When was the last time you talked to someone with out either of you pulling out your phone? I posted this series of 10 portraits, for me when I am shooting it’s a time when I am super focused no distraction no phone no social media just one on one with the person in front of me.
