Last year’s Wallpaper* Designer of the Year – @philippemalouin – has had another busy year, with new projects for brands such as Resident, ZaoZuo and SCP, as well as taking on the responsibility of being a judge for our 2019 Design Awards. To wit, he completed an exhibition chronicling the ten years since he opened his studio, shown in Hyères’ Villa Noailles as part of southern France’s annual Design Parade festival. Seen together, the works demonstrated the Canadian designer’s versatility with materials and craft, and his experimentation with shapes and concepts.
