Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier | While diving in the Salish Sea, I was swept into a strong Pacific current that pulled me alarmingly close to this egg-yolk jellyfish. These jellyfish can grow up to two feet wide, with tentacles up to 20 feet long, and although I have always been fascinated with these creatures, I must admit that a sting from a jellyfish can be very painful.
