Recently a spate of chippings happened in Japanese crags. One of the most famous rock in Japan “Ninja Rock” was chipped last month, and this time “Initiation(8B)” in Hourai crag was also chipped. This amazing line is one of my ticklists that I’ve been tring since a long time ago(2015?). And not ascent yet. I’m sad that my challenge comes to an end in this way. These criminals haven't found yet, and I don’t know that we should identify them. In any case, we take a stance not to tolerate chippings and have to stop the collapse of Japanese climbing culture. What measures are taken for decreasing chippings overseas?
