The Ionic Column Ring is an early work by Alex Streeter, stylized after the many ionic columns found among the architectural makeup of the Metropolitan Museum. As a child, Alex loved to wander the halls of the Museum and would later incorporate many Ancient themes found there into his works. In particular, he was greatly inspired by the "Marble Column from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis" located in the Greek and Roman Hall. This famous column features the use of intricately carved "volutes" or decorative curls, replicated in miniature form on this elegant unisex ring.
