The past year I’ve actually been less strict when it comes to my diet and training. With that I mean I’m more relaxed and allow myself to do exactly what I feel, but at the same time I have in mind what will do my mind and body good.
It’s easy to think that the more strict you manage to be - the better. Yes maybe if you want to see fast results looking at yourself in the mirror but the downside of it can be that it is taking over your life more than it should. I think it’s important to think of all the aspects of it.
I know that for some people going the gym and sticking to a super strict diet actually stressing them out and is associated with anxiety. It doesn’t have to be like that. Remind yourself what is important to you! For me one of them is how I look, of course. But to feel strong, to feel healthy and that I’m taking care of my body in the best possible way is more important. Also how I look at the whole process. Good things take time and you need to find out what kind of training that fits you, that you can challenge yourself but still enjoy the process. To find the right level and a realistic one to be able to stick to it, long term.
I would say the more balance - the better!
I know everyone have their own ways but this is what makes me happy and motivated when it comes to sticking to a healthy way of living. 💗
