Wow, today was an emotional roller coaster. For those who have been following my miracle calico story, here’s an update. I had a house vet visit for a check up and was curious if she had a microchip. The device beeped, which meant she had an owner and they were probably worried sick.
My heart sank, but returning her is the right thing to do. Before the owners came to pick her up, I spent my last moments with her. I was both devastated and happy at the same time ( a very overwhelmingly confusing feeling ) nonetheless, I was grateful for her kindness. She brought so much comfort after my cat’s death.
When the owners arrived, and they saw how happy she was...they asked if I wanted to adopt her. OFC I do!!!! I was overjoyed! ? My heart wanted to burst. Ahhhh I’m so grateful. What a crazy ride. They asked me what we named her, I said “ Kali “, which was coincidentally her name too, but spelled “ Cali “ ?
