Traditional Korean herbal medicine has found a contemporary home in Seoul’s Sogyeokdong area, in the form of a new cosmetics boutique that draws on the ancient principles of herbal remedy. The @eathlibrary_official showroom, designed by Teo Yang, is inspired by Hanok architecture, and makes use of locally produced furniture from Seoul’s master craftspeople. Visitors are offered a herbal tea on entry to the lightly scented space, and are encouraged to take their time perusing the high technology (yet traditionally inspired) skincare products, alongside the artisan crafts and bespoke furniture.
