2018... when I look at my #top9 all I see is my arms wide open (and @ステフィン・カリー haha) and that made all the difference for me this year. .
I decided to go back to ski racing early in the year, arms wide open from the beginning not knowing what was meant for me. In a matter of seconds, that door suddenly shut with a traumatic career ending injury.

Retiring from the @paralympics was harder than I imagined. I felt lost, my sense of worth wavering, all I knew to do was go back to the sea. I opened my arms again, I healed slowly.
.
I spent a good portion of the year floating in the ocean, traveling California and Maui patiently and impatiently waiting for the universe and God to show me my next step...
.
With all the uncertainty I knew I needed to drop into my heart so I made a very personal decision to cut alcohol out of my life. It no longer (if ever) served me. With that decision, I gained a great amount of clarity. I felt my feelings more deeply than ever before and my intuition grew strong. .
I gained more confidence, my sense of worth came back (w/out needing to perform) and just as I arrived at self-love... LOVE found me...

@roytuscany showed up with so much enthusiasm, optimism and hope for our future that I pretty much couldn’t disagree. With open arms, I finally let love in and I’m so glad I did. .
It’s funny how we feel impossibly lost but then in hindsight see so clearly how each chapter of your life has a beginning, a middle and an end. When my athletic career ended, my real/true love life began. Duh. And now we are on to the next chapter?

To all the people that have supported me this year, my friends and family and fans... you know who you are. @spikekane you’ve had my back through thick and thin. @sydneyprather, my sounding board, you see me. @pattycisnerosprevo and tony... how could I have done it with out you?! @jovan505 and @julianne505 @abkshaffer and @roots_abq and the rest of my tribe, te amo por Vida.
