As we get ready to start the new year i feel it’s important to sit back and reflect on the ups and downs, the good and bad, our successes and our defeats, love gained and love lost, and everything in between. Self reflection is necessary to dig beneath our own layers and visit the inner core of our heart and mind to be develop a deeper understand about life. We don’t learn by doing, we learn by reflecting on the things we have done. 2018 is in my rear view as I’m preparing for a new journey in my life. My ultimate goal is to find and make peace within myself in everything that I do so that I can continue to grow and be better than I was yesterday. Most importantly I want to be great. And one of the key components in reaching that is having the willingness to embrace all of the negative situations and energy that we have endured and turn them into positive opportunities for today and tomorrow. There’s only one way to go and that’s ⬆️. “Trust the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to HIM, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Big things coming for 2019.
