Meet Liam Kirk, the first #hockey player born and trained in #England to be chosen in the @NHL draft. In June, the @arizonacoyotes used a seventh-round pick to select Liam. Now he finds himself in #Ontario, some 3,400 miles away from his family in #Maltby, England. He’s playing for the @ohlofficial Petes in the hopes of earning a contract from the Arizona Coyotes. But Liam is already a commercial phenom in a sport that’s growing back home. During the annual scouting combine in June, the equipment makers @bauerhockey and @playtruehockey met with Liam to outfit him with gear, unusual for a player not considered a top prospect.
