?ARTIST NOTE THIS KEY CHANGED MY LIFE?This post is about trajectory in life. Standing proud holding this 8x8 ft silkscreen is my dear friend and mentor. Alex , he changed my life forever.. this was the phrase that began my new trajectory “ hey man come to my studio , I have a feeling about you.. you gotta try silkscreening ” he said this to me at least 30 times over the course of 6 months before I came. This was in 1998. This mans intuition and gentle demeanor changed my life , and in turn I changed his.. There is this great confusion of what life is , of the point of life and what one is suppose to do with this life. I can’t explain how much that phrase changed mine .. many times I’ve had great success and great failures, but I’ve made this life to be my own. ?that phrase came at a moment in time when I decided I was going to take my life over.. I decided all my days will be mine forever.. SO THIS IS THE KEY? DO WHAT YOU LOVE..AND ITS NOT WORK AND YOU WON’T GIVE UP BECAUSE ITS WHO YOU ARE . FOR SOME IT WILL COME EASY, IT WILL BE DEVASTATING TO OTHERS ..BUT TAKE THIS PRECIOUS LIFE AND MAKE IT YOURS.. AND IF YOU ARE LISTENING RIGHT NOW YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT!! THIS IS YOUR LIFE... I woke up today thinking of you old friend missing your voice and remembering as always what you did for me.. thank you through time and space I know you will hear this!! HUMBLED HONEST AND TRUE
