エレクトリカルインスペクション
本日は電気工事関係のインスペクションがありワンアラモアナコンドミニアムで立ち合いを行いました。
正直「こんな小さな仕事にもインスペクションが必要か」とおもいましたが、インスペクターのお話しを伺い納得。
先週金曜日に起こったアラモアナセンターのVottega Venetaの火災事故そして ２０１７年のMarco polo condo の火事など、ホノルル市では安全面と保険保証などの観点から、検閲インスペクションに力をいれているということです。当然ライセンスを持たない人間が行った工事についてはインスペクションは通りません。コンドミニアムでは万一の場合には、自分のユニットだけでなく、真下のユニットに対しても責任をおうことになります。少し面倒だとおもっても、保険の補償がされるかなどを考えるとインテリアデザイナーとしては認可を取られることをお勧めします。
Electrical Inspection
I attended an electrical inspection at One Ala Moana Condominium today.
I was thinking “It is such a small construction and why does it require such a big inspection deal?” But City and County’s electrical inspector shared City and County’s view with us.
Last Friday’s fire accident at Vottega Veneta in Ala Moana Shopping Center and the big fire accident of Marco Polo Condo (2017)… these make City and County enforcing the tight inspection rules and policies on all (I mean ALL) permits for protecting people’s safety and insurance warrenty. Of course, non-licensed electricians’ work do not pass the inspection. In case of a fire accident in condo, the owner owes responsibility not only his/her unit but also the unit directly below.
