The first half of today’s ride took us through a cinnamon forest. The roads and trails were lined with freshly cut trees and leaves and the mills that were processing them. Smelled like cinnamon everywhere. It was cold and rainy so our goggles were getting too fogged up to see through. After taking the goggles off, our faces were getting pelted with sharp rain as we blasted through villages and creek crossings. My $5 camo rain jacket from kmart is on its last leg. Currently sitting at a roadside restaurant having a meal of goat, beef, tofu, rice, wild greens and fresh ginseng leaves. We have another 40+ miles to go to the house we’re staying at tonight.
