"Not only were the peaks big, but they were really far away. Scoping lines we had a rough estimate of how long approaches and lines would be, we were way off. We had planned to ski a couloir in the morning and another face in the afternoon. The approach to the couloir was twice as long as we thought it would be and the hike felt like an endless stairmaster. Even skiing down was further than it looked." Jess McMillan, Marmot athlete.
