"This is kind of cool – literally! In December, I am going back to Antarctica – The South Shetland Islands, Cuverville Island, Pleneau Island, Port Charcot and the Lemaire Channel – for the fourth time. This time is a bit different: I’m going totally mirrorless when it comes to using an interchangeable lens camera!

Here is what I am packing: Two Canon EOS R cameras w/ R adapter ring and these Canon lenses: 8-15mm f/4, 16-35mm f/4, 24-105mm f/4 (R model) and 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6. Canon G7 X for fun videos.

My goal is to tell the story, with different lenses, of my far-away adventure with creative photographs of the beautiful blue icebergs, cute penguins, fearsome leopard seals and graceful sea birds.

Just how far away? Well: 10.5 hours from New York to Buenos Aires, 4-hour layover, 3.5-hour flight to Ushuaia, overnight in Ushuaia (southern most city on Earth) . . . and then 1.5 days by ship to the Antarctica Peninsula – EACH WAY. Yes, well worth the trip, even if I get a bit seasick!
