様々な楽器や非楽器を用いて作曲・演奏・録音をこなす音楽家。2004年NYのインディレーベルより1stアルバムをリリース、各国のメディアで絶賛を浴びる。以降、国内外ツアーやフェス出演、映画・舞台・CM音楽制作など幅広い分野で活動。2016年、4年ぶりとなるアルバム『TOSS』をリリース、昨年2017年には、瀬田なつき監督映画『PARKS パークス』の音楽監修を務めたほか、2年ぶりの開催となる自身主催の音楽フェス『TONOFON FESTIVAL』の開催や、最新アルバムの海外リリースや公演などを敢行。2018年もドラマ劇伴制作やサウンドトラックCDのリリース、オーケストラとの共演コンサートなど、活動のフィールドをますます広げている。

Shugo Tokumaru is a musician who uses variety of instruments, both musical and non-musical, and handles every aspect of his music, including composition, playing, and recording. After releasing his debut album from an indie label in New York, he gained an international reputation and the range of fields he works in grew wider since then; conducting tours and playing at festivals in and outside of Japan, and producing music for films, theaters, and commercials. In 2016, he released his first album in four years, titled “TOSS”. In the following year in 2017, he supervised music for Natsuki Seda’s film “PARKS”, and held “TONOFON FESTIVAL”, a music festival he has been organizing for years, after an interval of two years. Also, his latest album became available internationally and played shows overseas. In 2018, he has produced music for drama, released soundtrack, played concerts with orchestra, and still continues to expand his field further.
