Do you have a place you return to, over and over and over again, that you always feel the urge to photograph?

I must have a dozen or more images from this very spot—all from different days, all in different light and different weather, some snapped while I was happy, some snapped while I was not.

I don't imagine it's a corner of the earth that gets a lot of love from humans. It's swampy and tucked far from the sun's reach. It's on a gravel road on which I've only ever encountered a single other soul, and, I'll be honest, I scurried in the opposite direction, because I always feel a littttttle creeped out back here....but in a good way.

When I lived in Toronto, I had a collection of similar spots: the kind that beg for a photo, but ask for little else. I'd return to them day after day, a soy latte in hand and a little grey dog by my side. And I'd share them with you.

It's nice that while so many things in my life have changed since then, that simple act of snapping and sharing has not. Thanks for sticking around. ?
