Anyone who tells you there is no power in the past is a fool, we learn so much from our past, we change we grow everyday some days more than others, but when you look back on something can you say I have it my all, even though your all today may be different than it was then. I look back on Photographs I made and I see things I would do differently today but that’s part of the fun. Enjoy the past enjoy mistakes enjoy the fact that you can’t change it. When you look ahead at the future every little think in your life led you here where you are today, you are responsible for the good and the bad. So tomorrow when you look around at thanksgiving, take a moment to reflect on how many things had to go right and or wrong to get you where you are. I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life and even more lucky that the not amazing ones found the door and walk out of it. This photo was a set we built modeled after a room in Versailles and was my first time using an 8 by 10 camera, when I look back on all the things that had to happen for this to come together it seems nothing short of a miracle.
