Tonight, we officially kicked off the 33rd @asean Summit! Such gatherings are useful for #ASEAN member states to get together and find new areas of cooperation.
ASEAN’s future is bright, although new challenges and threats lie ahead. Digital technologies have changed the way we live, work and play, interact with each other, and transnational threats like terrorism and climate change will need all of us on the same page. Chairing ASEAN has been a great honour for Singapore, and I am glad that member states have come up with concrete measures to work better together.
