??For so long as a kid I believed that you had to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to purchase property. I thought I would have to become a successful rapper, basketball player, football player, (or a pimp lol) to get a slice of the American pie. I thought I had to speak with the toughest slang, hang with the deadliest people, break the most laws or have the least respect for relationships to be able to make enough money to one day afford to buy property. Boy, was I wrong. I thoughts banks were racist, bank owners were racist, and the entire banking system was set up to keep me from property ownership. And though historically banks have systematically and strategically kept melinated people from having equal possession of property as whites, I thought it was something I would never overcome. As time went by I decided to prove myself wrong. I'm happy to announce my full purchase of my very first investment property! A 2 bedroom, 1 Bath Single family unit here in SoutJersey!!! When I got my real estate license, I knew nothing would stop me, but until you sign on the dotted line and receive keys (Got em today) you still may doubt the process. No, it's not the mansion I thought being a rapper would buy me. It's not the property you see most NBA players getting as a second home. But it's my 6 minutes from a lake, family welcomed, "Landlord Laners" investment property I always wanted. Both of my Grandfathers owned multiple properties and I always wanted to follow in their footsteps. My uncle and dad gave me blueprints, and I added my own flavor onto their lessons.
