On this Veterans Day I would like to thank and acknowledge One veteran in particular. My cousin Jeff James. Jeff followed serving our country like our Great Grandpa Jesse H. James who served in the Civil War with Marshall’s Battery, Arkansas Light Artillary in 1863 and our Grandfather, Jesse Herndon James. Who was drafted by the Union and served in France during WWI. Like many vets across this country. Their service doesn’t stop when they leave the military. After his service to our country which included invading Panama as a badass Army Ranger. Jeff went to work as a firefighter for the Vernon California fire department where he still works today. It seems only fitting he has spent the last 72+ hours of this Veterans Day weekend fighting the out of control wildfires in Southern California. Texting me updates 24/7 for our worried California family members that were evacuated. Today I wanted to give some praise and thanks to Jeff and many vets just like him. Who’s service to our country never ends. #jessejames
