She had a very busy, full-on job and always looked super chic for work, despite rarely spending a lot on her clothes. But one brand she really loved was Jaeger. She was first through the door for their January sales - and still owns coats she bought there back in the 80s. It’s a British brand rich in heritage (next year it turns 135 years old!) And even though it’s had a tough time over the past twelve months, Jaeger is back - with a design team who are LOOKING back through its archives to inspire the new collections. With all the talk of fast fashion, I’m really happy to be working with a brand like Jaeger, looking at timeless pieces worth investing in. Like this classic-with-a-twist black polo neck (wear with jeans, smart black trousers or even a leather midi skirt). It’s an exciting time for them, but they already have a very loyal customer base spanning several generations - and lots of fashion memories for me. Yes, the prices are higher, but if you can spend a little more on pieces you’ll be able to wear forever (and pass on), it is definitely worth it - price per wear and all that! With such a rich history of beautifully-made clothing, Jaeger are also a brand to look for if you go vintage shopping. Who knows, you might even find one of my mum’s coats! ?"
