I have a love/hate relationship with pics like this of myself. I made a commitment to not hide behind my kids so much and share more of myself, but it’s PAINFUL to hit that “post” button. ?⠀

I hate my smile. My skin is wrinkly. My nose takes up half my face. I need to lose 15 pounds....blah, blah, blah. We ALL do this. Why? Why are we so hard on ourselves? ?‍♀️⠀

I’m so grateful that I have so much to smile about. I’m thankful that I’ve lived long enough to have wrinkles. I have my grandmother’s nose and she was the most beautiful human I knew. I’ve earned these extra 15 pounds by enjoying a lot of cake. ?⠀
