Items include his earliest surviving wheelchair, a bomber jacket Hawking wore during a 2016 documentary, a script for the @thesimpsons, and a copy of his 117-page PhD thesis valued between $126,000 and $189,000 USD. Proceeds from the auction—spearheaded by Stephen’s daughter Lucy Hawkings—will go to the late physicist’s foundation and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
