?ARTIST NOTE ?This was in 1998 on La Brea, LOS ANGELES !! this is my throw back Thursday way back.. in 1998 there was no Facebook or Instagram, I din’t have a cellphone , I used pay phones on what ever street I was on..and I think maybe I had a hotmail.. no one taught me anything I just started putting up my art in the streets for free for fun to feel alive.. I remember when I did this it was 3am and I walked through the alley so cops wouldn’t see me , I didn’t drive I walked that night with a back pack full of glue and my posters. I remember walking through the alley and feeling like everyone in the world was dead and I was the last person on earth.. I felt like the only way I could prove I existed was to create this art or what ever I was making and put it up.. for who ever comes next so they would know “I WAS HERE , I LIVED AND I CREATED AND I DIED” it was alway a conversation with myself and the city every night ... ?OH THE BLESS YOU... came after someone wrote that and it made me feel like I had to keep going and they let me know they were alive too... #rollandberry #colur #streetart #streetartistry #realstreetshit #losangeles #1998
