1960年代にイギリスのノーサンプトンシャー州でスタートし、イギリスのサブカルチャーを象徴するブランドであるドクターマーチンとネイバーフッドが、初となるコラボレーションアイテムを製作。代表モデルである# 1460と# 1461をベースに、# 1460は機能的なサイドゴア仕様にカスタム、ウェルトステッチは共にオリジナルのイエローからソリッドなホワイトへと変更。それぞれに“NBHD”、“FILTH”、“FURY”、“TOKYO”のレタリングが各所に施され、イギリスの自社工場にて熟練の職人によって製作されるなど、当時のユースカルチャーを彷彿とさせる両ブランドのバックボーンがリンクした、特別な一足に仕上がっている。

Founded in Northamptonshire, UK in the 1960s, Dr. Martens is a symbol of British subculture, and this is their first collaboration with NEIGHBORHOOD. The # 1460 and # 1461 models were used as the basis, and a functional gusset side panel was added to the # 1460, while the original yellow welt stitching was switched to a solid white on both models. The words “NBHD”, “FILTH”, “FURY”, “TOKYO” are printed on both shoes, and were handmade by seasoned craftsmen in Dr. Martens’ factory in England. These collaborative shoes reflect the youth culture elements that both brands have come to symbolize. - - -
